Notice is hereby given that Mooir Vannin Offshore Wind Farm Limited (Company Registration Number: 013051V) ('the Applicant') intends to apply to the Department of Infrastructure of the Isle of Man Government under sections 8 and 9 of the Marine Infrastructure Management Act 2016 for the above mentioned Marine Infrastructure Consent.

The Applicant is ultimately owned by Ørsted A/S. Ørsted A/S specialises in procuring, producing, distributing and trading energy and related products across the World.

Mooir Vannin Offshore Wind Farm (the "Proposed Development") will be located six nautical miles (nm) off the east coast of the Isle of Man and fully within the 12nm limit of the Island's territorial sea. The offshore array covers approximately 250km². It is expected that the offshore array will generate up to 1400MW of renewable energy.

The Proposed Development comprises the construction, operation, maintenance and decommissioning of:

• Up to 100 turbines and their foundations;

• Up to five offshore substations that will sit on platforms to house electrical and control equipment, and their foundations. The platforms also provide access for work boats and helicopters;

• A variety of cables, including: cables to connect the turbines to each other and to the offshore substation(s) ('Array Cables'), cables to connect the offshore substations to each other ('Interlink Cables'), cables to connect the wind farm to the Island ('Offshore Electrical Connection Cable') and electrical cables from the wind farm to the boundary of Isle of Man territorial waters (UK Transmission Assets);

• Turbine foundation and electrical cable scour protection; and

• A Transition Joint Bay ('TJB'), an underground chamber on the land, located within 250m landward from Mean High Waters on the Isle of Man, where the Offshore Electrical Connection Cable will join to an onshore cable bringing power to the Island.

Pre-application consultation

The Applicant is undertaking pre-application consultation on the Proposed Development between Monday 15 July 2024 and Wednesday 11 September 2024.

During this time, electronic copies of the consultation materials will be available to access free of charge on the Applicant's dedicated project website: www.orsted.im/mooirvannin/document-library.

The consultation materials include:

• A Community Engagement, Consultation and Action Strategy {CECAS) booklet summarising consultation information;

• Informative display materials presented in a virtual town hall format; and

• An online Consultation Portal for submitting feedback (mooirvannin.commonplace.is); and

• A suite of Preliminary Environmental Information documents.

The Applicant is holding a series of Consultation Events. These events provide a further opportunity for members of the public to inspect the consultation materials and meet with members of the Applicant's team.

The details of the Consultation Events are as follows:

Pursuant to Reg 18(1)(c) of the Marine Infrastructure Management Act Regulations (2004), all hard copy Preliminary Environmental (PEI) materials will be available in hard copy free of charge upon request. Reasonable fees may be applied for extensive requests for consultation materials. Requests for consultation materials can be made to the Applicant using the contact details provided below.

The Applicant will carefully record and consider all responses to this consultation and everyone across the community is invited to provide their feedback. The feedback received will be recorded and responded to in a Consultation Report which will form part of the application for Marine Infrastructure Consent.
