1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Brent propose to make the above mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985, the Parking Acts of 1986 and 1989 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.

2. The general effect of the 'Electric Vehicle Charging Points' Order would be to introduce electric vehicle charging points in certain lengths of streets specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

3. The charging points referred to in paragraph 2 above would be available for electric vehicles only “at any time”, without charge, provided that:-

(a) the vehicle is connected to the charging post via the re-charging lead provided at all times while it is left at the charging point;

(b) the usual exemption relating to vehicles displaying a disabled person's "Blue Badge" would apply.

4. The general effect of the 'Parking Places' Orders would be to reduce in length existing:-

(a) permit parking places in Hoveden Road, Jeymer Avenue and Monson Road;

(b) shared-use permit or pay parking places in Harrow Road, Hazelmere Road and Phillimore Gardens;

(c) Wembley stadium event day parking places in Kings Drive,

to facilitate the introduction of the electric vehicle charging points.

5. Copies of the proposed Orders, of the relevant Orders of 2019 and 2023 (and of any Orders which have amended those Orders), of the Council's statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders and of a map which indicates the length of road to which the Orders relate can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders at Brent Customer Services, Brent Civic Centre, Engineers Way, Wembley, Middlesex, HA9 0FJ.

7. Persons desiring to make representations or to object to any of the proposed Orders should send a statement of their representations or objections, and the grounds thereof, via email to trafficorders@brent.gov.uk, or in writing to the Head of Healthy Streets and Parking, Healthy Streets and Parking Service, 6th Floor West Wing, Brent Civic Centre, Engineers Way, Wembley, Middlesex, HA9 0FJ, quoting the reference TO/27/013/NP, to arrive no later than 21 days from the date of publication of this Notice.
