THE INVERCLYDE COUNCIL, OVERTON ROAD, KILMACOLM STOPPING UP ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT, with reference to the Notice of 25 June 2024, whereby the Inverclyde Council advertised its proposal to make an order under s68(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 (as amended) stopping up the road as described in the schedule hereto, The Inverclyde Council have extended the period by which any person may wish to object to the making of the order by a period of 14 days.

A copy of the proposed order and of the accompanying plan showing the road to be stopped up, together with a statement of the reasons for making the order, can be viewed at www.inverclyde.gov.uk/tro and have been deposited at the following locations for inspection free of charge during normal office hours Monday – Friday:-

1. The Inverclyde Council, Customer Service Centre, Municipal Buildings, Clyde Sq, Greenock, PA15 1LX Tel: (01475) 717171;

2. The Head of Physical Assets – Roads & Transportation, 8 Pottery St, Greenock, PA15 2UH Tel: (01475) 714800; and

3. Kilmacolm Library, Lochwinnoch Rd, Kilmacolm PA13 4LE (Please check www.inverclyde.gov.uk/libraries for opening times).

ANY PERSON may object to the making of the order by notice in writing to the Head of Legal, Democratic, Digital and Customer Services, Inverclyde Council, Municipal Buildings, Clyde Square, Greenock PA15 1LY OR via email to Roads.Consultation@inverclyde.gov.uk, by 6 August 2024. Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.

SCHEDULE

Overton Road, Kilmacolm for a length of 368 metres from the gates at North Lodge to the junction with Barclaven Road as shown in zebra hatching within the plan accompanying this Order.
