THE HACKNEY (PRESCRIBED ROUTES AND 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (AMENDMENT NO.**) ORDER 2024

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Hackney proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be as follows;

Marvin Street

(a) Remove all parking restrictions and Introduce a prohibition of driving at the junction with Sylvester Road.

Sylvester Road

(a) Introduce a 6m electric vehicle bay along the northern kerbline of Sylvester Road, from a point 2.5m east of the boundary line between Nos. (65 to 72) and (73 to 80) in an western direction.

(b) Introduce 2 cycle hangars (5m) along the northern kerbline of Sylvester Road, from a point 11.4m west of the boundary line between Nos. (65 to 72) and (73 to 80) in an western direction.

(c) Introduce a 6.6m electric vehicle bay along the northern kerbline of Sylvester Road, from a point 5.1m west of the boundary line between Nos. (41 to 48) and (49 to 56) in an western direction.

(d) Remove 35m of parking bay and Introduce 24m of double yellow lines and double kerb blips, with no waiting or loading “at any time” restrictions along the southern kerbline of Sylvester Road, from a point 1m east of the western corner of Nos 21 to 40 in an eastern direction.

(e) Introduce 2 cycle hire bays (9m) along the southern kerbline of Sylvester Road, from a point 16.3m east of the western corner of Nos 21 to 40 in an eastern direction.

(f) Introduce 10m of loading bay along the southern kerbline of Sylvester Road, from a point 25.3m east of the western corner of Nos 21 to 40 in an eastern direction.

3. Alternatively, such documents can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays, in the visitor’s reception area, London Borough of Hackney, Hackney Service Centre, 1 Hillman Street, London, E8 1DY by appointment only.

4. Any objections or other representations about either of the Orders should be sent in writing to Streetscene – Networks Team at the address specified in paragraph 3 above or emailed to streetscene.consultations@hackney.gov.uk within 21 days from the date on which this Notice is published. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
