D. PROPOSED CONVERSION OF – PERMIT HOLDER PARKING PLACES TO ZIG-ZAGS AND DOUBLE YELLOW LINES, GREENFORD ROAD, UB6.

5. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, SECTION 23 – INTRODUCTION OF TOUCAN CROSSING.

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the COUNCIL of the London Borough of Ealing, proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders, under sections 6, 46, 46, 49 and 124 and of Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The general effect of the proposed waiting and loading Order would be to: -

(a) add ay any time loading restriction on lengths of the north-west side of Greenford Road opposite and west of its junction with Darington Drive;

(b) replace the existing school keep clear restriction described below with double yellow lines and (white) zig-zags.

3. The general effect of the proposed parking places Order would be to on Greenford Road, opposite Nos. 790 – 802 Greenford Road, remove lengths of permit holder parking places and replace with proposed double yellow lines and zig-zags.

4. The general effect of the school keep clear proposal would be to remove the existing school keep clear restriction on Greenford Road opposite Nos. 577 to 589 Greenford Road, to be replaced by proposed waiting restrictions and zig-zags.

5. FURTHER NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that The London Borough of Ealing intends to substitute the existing zebra crossing on Greenford Road, opposite Nos. 577 – 589 with a toucan crossing under Section 23 and 25 of the Road Traffic Act 1984.

6. Enquiries about the intentions and proposals can be made by e-mail to ‘trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk’ or by telephoning the Ealing Council Project Engineer on 0208 825 9576.

7. The intention and proposals, other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders including plans, are available by e-mail from ‘trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk’ or by inspection at Customer Services Reception, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL between 9:00am and 4:45pm on Monday to Friday, until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Order is made, or the Council decides not to make the Orders.

8. Any objections or other representations about either of the intended toucan crossing, or the proposed Orders should be sent in writing by e-mail to ‘trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk’ or by post to Highways Service, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL, quoting reference P050-2024 until the 7 August 2024. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made and should include the address of the author.
