THE EALING (SCHOOL STREETS) (HAMBROUGH SCHOOL) (BEATRICE ROAD, RAYNOR CLOSE AND ST JOSEPH’S DRIVE) ORDER 2024; THE EALING (VARIOUS ROADS PLAYSTREET SCHEME) (NO. 4, 2016) (AMENDMENT NO. 015) ORDER 2024; THE EALING (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (SPECIAL PARKING AREA) (AMENDMENT NO. 905) ORDER 2024; THE EALING (BUS PRIORITY) (BUS LANES) (NO. 1, 2012) (AMENDMENT NO. 030) ORDER 2024; THE EALING (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (SPECIAL PARKING AREA) (AMENDMENT NO. 906) ORDER 2024.

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Ealing made the above titled Orders, under sections 6, 29, and 124 of and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The effect of the Ealing (School Streets) (Beatrice Road, Raynor Close and St Joseph’s Drive) Order 2024 will be to prohibit motor vehicles from using Beatrice Road; Raynor Close; and St Joseph’s Drive, during Mondays to Fridays 8.30-9.15am and 3-4pm.

3. The effect of the Ealing (Various Roads Playstreet Scheme) (No. 4, 2016) (Amendment No. 015) Order 2024 will be to create play streets on: -

(a) Balfour Road, W13 (between junction of Marder Road and Northcroft Road);

(b) Haslemere Avenue, W13 (between junction of Raymond Avenue and Mervyn Road).

The scheme called “Playstreet” will close the above roads to vehicular traffic on one Saturday or Sunday each month (or such other occasions as the Council may approve) for a period of up to 3 hours to enable children to use them for play schemes. Vehicles will be able to access premises in the closed sections of street and will be escorted by a steward to reach their destination.

4. The effect of the Ealing (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) (Amendment No. 905) Order 2024 will be to convert the existing part-time waiting restriction on the north side of Cranmer Avenue outside Nos. 102-106 and on the north-west side outside No. 2 Burnham Way, to ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions (double yellow lines).

5. The effect of the Ealing (Bus Priority) (Bus Lanes) (No. 1, 2012) (Amendment No. 030) Order 2024 will be to introduce the designation of the eastbound bus lane on the north side of Ruislip Road, Northolt (between its junctions with Byron Way and Shadwell Drive) to operate everyday 7-10am & 4-7pm (the proposed bus lane will be for use by buses, cycles and taxis only during its operation).

6. The general effect of the Ealing (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area) (Amendment No. 906) Order 2024 will be to convert lengths of part time waiting restriction on: -

(a) Broadmead Road (between its junction with Ruislip Road and a point 80.0 metres south of that junction);

(b) Ruislip Road (between its junctions with Byron Way and Shadwell Drive); to ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions.

7. The remaining proposed Orders: Ealing (School Streets) (Dryden Avenue) Order 202*; and Ealing (Various Roads School Street Scheme) (No. 4) (Amendment No. **) Order 202*, have been deferred.

8. The made Orders, which will come into operation on 24 July 2024, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order including plans, are available by e-mail from ‘trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk’ or for inspection at Customer Services Reception, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL between 9:00am and 4:45pm on Monday to Friday, until six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made.

9. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or any provision contained therein on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make an application for the purpose to the High Court.
