THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER (BUS PRIORITY) (NO. 1, 1999) (AMENDMENT NO. *) TRAFFIC ORDER 202*
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council proposes to make the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 63 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Orders would be to:
(a) permit solo motor cycles to use the north-eastbound bus lanes on the north-east side of Buckingham Palace Road, between Pimlico Road / Ebury Bridge and Elizabeth Street;
(b) introduce 58.5 metres of double yellow line “at any time” waiting and loading restrictions outside Consort Rise House, No. 203 Buckingham Palace Road, replacing single yellow line Monday to Friday 8.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. and Saturday 8.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. waiting restrictions – except for a 12-metre length where “at any time” loading restrictions would not apply to facilitate servicing; and
(c) introduce a 15-metre bus parking place (maximum stay of 2 hours) and 12.6 metres of double yellow line “at any time” waiting and loading restrictions outside the National Audit Office, Nos. 157 to 197 Buckingham Palace Road, replacing 27.6 metres of pay-by-phone parking (5 bays).
3. The proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection until six weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders at https://westminstertransportationservices.co.uk/notices and, in person by appointment only, at Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 6QP, between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays (except bank / public holidays). 5. Any objections or other representations about the proposal should be sent in writing to the Council’s agents, WSP Traffic Order Team, 3rd Floor, WSP House, 70 Chancery Lane, London, WC2A 1AF, or by email to tmo.westminster@wsp.com quoting reference 8021/CM by 21st August 2024. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
