LONDON BOROUGH OF SUTTON

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton propose to make the following Order The Sutton (Parking, Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. * ) Order 202* under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 19841, as amended –

2. The principal objectives of the proposed Order are; (a) to introduce disabled bays to provide a parking facility for disabled persons where a high level of parking makes reasonable means of access difficult, and (b) revoke those parking bays that are no longer required;

3. The general effect of the Orders would be to:-

(a) provide new disabled person’s parking places, 6.6 metres in length, in which vehicles displaying a disabled person’s badge may park at any time, at the following locations:-

(i) outside Nos. 60 Beauchamp Road, Sutton, (in place of existing Permit Holders only bay, 2 wheels on the footway )

(ii) adjacent No. 89 Cheam Common Road, Worcester Park, positioned on Huntingdon Gardens (in place of existing free parking place, 2 wheels on the footway)

(iii) outside Egmont House, 1 Egmont Road, Sutton

(iv) adjacent No. 9 High View Avenue, Beddington positioned on West Avenue, Beddington

(v) outside Nos 130 and 132 Longfellow Road, Worcester Park, (in place of existing Permit Holders only bay, 2 wheels on the footway )

(vi) adjacent No. 159 Green Wrythe Lane, Carshalton, positioned on Muschamp Road, Carshalton

(vii) outside Nos. 10 and 12 Tharp Road, Wallington

(viii) outside Nos. 13 and 15 Wolseley Road, Mitcham

(b) revoke existing disabled person’s parking places at the following locations:-

(i) outside No. 88 Arlington Drive, Carshalton

(ii) outside Nos. 25 to 36 The Maisonettes, Alberta Avenue, Sutton

(iii) outside No. 50 Bernard Road, Wallington

(iv) outside No. 6 Hereford Mews and No. 1 Bridle Path, Beddington (reverts to a free parking place, 2 wheels on the footway)

(v) outside No. 141 Brinkley Road, Worcester

(vi) adjacent Collingwood Court, Burgess Road, Sutton

(vii) outside Nos 55 to 60 Denmark Road, Carshalton

(viii) outside No. 13 High View Avenue, Wallington

(ix) outside Nos. 28 and 30 Lavender Road, Carshalton (reverts to a free parking place, 2 wheels on the footway)

(x) outside No. 197 Robertsbridge Road, Carshalton

(xi) outside No. 43 St Benet’s Grove, Carshalton

(xii) outside No. 180 Thornton Road, Carshalton

(xiii) outside No. 49 Walton Avenue, Sutton

(xiv) outside No. 15 Washington Road, Worcester Park, (reverts to a free parking place, 2 wheels on the footway)

4. Copies of the proposed Order, of the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order and draft map schedules showing the locations and the effects of the proposals may be inspected at the Council’s Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, SM1 1EA. Copies can also be obtained by calling 020 8770 5000.

5. 6. NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of London Borough of Sutton, as part of this proposal, and by the powers conferred under section 15 of the Greater London Council (General Powers) Act 1974 is resolving the following:-

(a) removal of an existing length of uncontrolled footway parking at the following location:-

(i) adjacent No. 89 Cheam Common Road, Worcester Park, positioned on Huntingdon Gardens see 3(a) item (ii) above

(b) install lengths of uncontrolled footway parking at the following locations

(i) outside No. 6 Hereford Mews and No. 1 Bridle Path, Beddington, see 3(b) item (iv) above

(ii) outside Nos. 28 and 30 Lavender Road, Carshalton, see 3(b) item (ix) above

(iii) outside No. 15 Washington Road, Worcester Park, see 3(b) item (xiv) above
