THE A3 TRUNK ROAD (RIPLEY BY-PASS)

(PROHIBITION OF CERTAIN CLASSES OF TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2024

National Highways Limited(a) gives notice that they have made an Order under powers conferred by Sections 1(1), 2(1) and (3), and 4(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(b) on the A3 Trunk Road in the District of Guildford in the County of Surrey.

The Order was made on 16th August 2024 and comes into force 1st September 2024. The notice of proposal to make the Order (reference 4545467) was published in issue number 64306 of the London Gazette on 2nd February 2024 and the effect of the order is as described in that notice.

A copy of the Made Order and a plan illustrating the effects may be inspected at:

1. Wisley Interchange Improvement Scheme Site Office: National Highways/Balfour Beatty, Nutberry Farm, Portsmouth Road, Ripley, GU23 6BA (During office hours weekdays) or:

2. National Highways Guildford Office, Reception, Bridge House, Walnut Tree Close, Guildford, Surrey, GU1 4LZ (During office hours weekdays)

until the end of the statutory period 6 weeks from the date the order was made (27th September 2024).

Any person wishing to question the validity of the order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of any such enabling Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court, quoting the reference NH/SE/2023/A3/PEDESTRIAN AND VARIOUS TRAFFIC CLASSES BAN.
