LONDON BOROUGH OF BRENT, THE BRENT (GOODS VEHICLES) (FREE LOADING PLACES) (NO. 4) ORDER 2024, THE BRENT (GOODS VEHICLES) (FREE LOADING PLACES) (NO. 4, 2003) (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2024, THE BRENT (GOODS VEHICLES) (FREE LOADING PLACES) (NO. 6, 2023) (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2024

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Brent (‘the Council’) on 16th September 2024 made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of and Part I of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985.

2. The general effect of the 'Goods Vehicles Free Loading Places' Order will be to:-.

(a) revoke and redesignate the existing goods vehicles free loading places on Ealing Road and amend the hours of operation as specified in sub-paragraph 2(b) below;

(b) provide that the goods vehicle free loading places referred to in sub-paragraph 2(a) above will operate between 8.00 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. throughout the week; and

(c) specify that goods carrying vehicles constructed or adapted for use for the carriage of goods or burden of any description and is not drawing a trailer, may use the parking places so specified in the Schedule, subject to the provisions of the Order, for the purpose of continuous loading and unloading during the permitted hours..

3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 30th September 2024, of maps of the relevant areas and of the above-mentioned Orders of 2003 and 2023 (and of any Orders which have amended those Orders) can be requested via email during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders are made at Brent Customer Services, Brent Civic Centre, Engineers Way, Wembley, Middlesex, HA9 0FJ.

4. Copies of the Orders may be purchased from the address mentioned in paragraph 3 above.

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to any of the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
