HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

THE CORNWALL COUNCIL (TRURO NORTHERN ACCESS ROAD) (CLASSIFIED ROAD) (SIDE ROADS) ORDER 2022

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that on 12 September 2024 she has confirmed, with modifications, the above Order which was made by Cornwall Council under sections 14 and 125 of the Highways Act 1980 and which, as confirmed, authorises the Council to –

(a) improve highways;

(b) stop up highways;

(c) construct new highways;

(d) stop up private means of access to premises; and

(e) provide new means of access to premises,

all on or in the vicinity of the route of the classified road known as the Truro Northern Access Road, which the Council proposes to construct from a junction with the A390 at West Langarth eastwards for a distance of 3,040 metres to tie in with Penventinnie Lane (U6076).

Copies of the above-mentioned Order and associated plans may be inspected at the Council’s offices at County Hall, Truro, Cornwall TR1 3AY and online at www.cornwall.gov.uk.

Any person aggrieved by or desiring to question the validity of any provision within the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement or regulation made has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks of 3 October 2024, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision included.
