The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled "The Diversion of Highway (East) (No.17) Order 2024" authorising the stopping up and diversion of a length of footpath FP47 at Old Newton in the District of Mid Suffolk. This is to enable development as permitted by Mid Suffolk District Council, under references DC/19/02878 and DC/22/01159.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/E/S247/5819. They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Old Newton Village Hall Notice Board, 31-35 Church Road, Old Newton, Stowmarket, IP14 4ED.

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 4 October 2024.
