(50 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024

National Highways Limited(a) gives notice that it proposes to make an Order using powers conferred by Sections 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A2 Trunk Road in the District of Canterbury in the County of Kent.

The effect of the Order would be that no person shall cause or permit a vehicle to be driven at a speed exceeding 50 miles per hour on the northbound carriageway of the A2 between a point approximately 495 metres north of the centreline of the A260 overbridge (Adisham Road) and a point approximately 225 metres north of its junction with Black Robin Lane, to alleviate danger to the public in the event of flooding or other reason causing a diversionary flow of traffic onto the carriageway from Out Elmstead Lane, at such times and to such an extent as may be indicated by traffic signs.

The A2 Trunk Road (Barham) (Temporary Restriction of Traffic) Order 2023 (b) would be revoked.
