The Lincolnshire County Council (“the Council”) hereby give notice that it has made, and submitted to the Secretary of State for Transport for confirmation, an Order under Sections 14 and 125 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the Council to:-

(a) improve highways (including raising, lowering or otherwise altering),

(b) stop up highways,

(c) construct new highways,

(d) stop up private means of access to premises,

(e) provide new means of access to the said premises

all on or in the vicinity of the route of the classified road known as A1461 North Hykeham Relief Road which the Council are proposing to construct from the A46 Hykeham Roundabout in an easterly direction for a distance of 8.1km to the A15 Sleaford Road Roundabout within the North Kesteven District in the County of Lincolnshire.

A copy of the order and of the accompanying plans may be inspected at www.lincolnshire.gov.uk and free of charge at all reasonable hours at the offices of the acquiring authority at County Offices, Newland, Lincoln Lincolnshire LN1 1YS, and at the offices of North Kesteven District Council, District Council Offices, Kesteven Street, Sleaford, NG34 7EF.

Any person may not later than 22 November 2024 object to the confirmation of the order by notice to the Secretary of State for Transport, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 7AR stating the grounds of their objection.

In submitting an objection, it should be noted that your personal data and correspondence will be passed to the Council to enable your objection to be considered. If you do not wish your personal data to be forwarded, please state your reasons when submitting your objection and the Secretary of State will copy your representations, with your name and address removed to the Council, and if there is to be a Public Local Inquiry they will be seen by the Inspector who may give them less weight as a result.
