DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACES – SCHEDULE 240

THE CROYDON (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF STOPPING, LOADING AND WAITING) AND (FREE PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO. K30) ORDER 20-

THE CROYDON (ON-STREET CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO. K31) ORDER 20-

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.

1. The general effect of the Orders would be to:

a) Revoke the disabled parking places in the vicinity of No. 94 Braemar Avenue, South Croydon, No. 32 Gloucester Road, Croydon, No. 1 Lyndhurst Road, Thornton Heath, No. 5 Sandpits Road, Croydon, No. 48 Stretton Road, Croydon, and No. 121 Waddon Road, Croydon.

b) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations.

Amberley Grove, Croydon Partially outside Nos. 18 & 19
Bensham Manor Road, Thornton Heath Outside Nos. 194 to 216 (immediately adjacent to the common boundary of Nos. 190 and 194 to 216). Replaces a 6-metre length of single yellow line.
Bute Road, Croydon Adjacent to the flank wall of No.57 Mitcham Road
Effingham Road, Croydon Outside No. 40 (partial footway bay)
Goodenough Way, Coulsdon Outside Nos. 78 to 94 (at 90 degrees to the kerb, adjacent to the hatched area outside the emergency vehicle entrance).
Hatch Road, Norbury Outside No. 53
Hayes Lane, Kenley Adjacent to the southern boundary of No. 279 Hayes Lane (replaces an existing free partial footway parking bay).
Howberry Road, Thornton Heath Outside No. 31 and partially across the frontage of No. 29
Kemerton Road, Croydon Partially outside Nos. 47 and 49 (replaces a length of double yellow lines)
Kemerton Road, Croydon Outside No. 45 and partially outside No. 47 (relocating the existing bay outside No. 45 by two metres north-eastwards to abut the new bay above. Replaces a length of double yellow lines)
Kingsdown Avenue, South Croydon Outside Nos. 134 and 136 (to the immediate north-east of the steps leading up to those properties).
Lebanon Road, Croydon Adjacent to the flank wall of No. 14 Leslie Park (replaces one space within a permit/payment bay and 1.6 metres of double yellow lines)
Longheath Gardens, Croydon Partially outside Nos. 87 and 97, and 86 and 96
Mayfield Road, Thornton Heath Outside No. 10
Raymead Avenue, Thornton Heath Outside No. 50
Sandfield Road, Thornton Heath Outside No. 31
The Ridgeway, Croydon Outside No. 28
Warminster Road, South Norwood Adjacent to the vehicular entrance to Warminster Gardens
Whitehorse Road, Croydon Outside No. 179 and partially across the frontage of No. 181 (replaces one space in a permit/payment partial footway parking bay).
Winifred Road, Coulsdon Outside No. 103

c) Amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.

2. A copy of the proposed Orders and all related documents can be inspected between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, at Access Croydon, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA (Alternatively all related documents or further information can be requested by email to Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk.

3. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the, Parking Design Section, 3rd Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA or by emailing the Parking Design Team (email address above) quoting the reference: PD/CH/K30 & K31 by 07 November 2024.
