The Welsh Ministers have made an Order under section 247 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (“the 1990 Act”) to authorise the stopping up of the length of highway described in Schedule 1 to this Notice and to improve the area of highway described in Schedule 2 to this Notice. The Welsh Ministers are satisfied that the stopping up is necessary, and it will be authorised only in order to enable the development to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted under Part 3 of the 1990 Act by Isle of Anglesey County Council on 18 January 2024 with reference number FPL/2023/195 described in Schedule 3 to this Notice.

The Stopping Up of Highways (Minffordd Road, Llanfihangel yn Nhywyn, Llanfair-yn-Neubwll, Caergeiliog, Holyhead) Order 2024 (“the Order”) ceases to have effect if planning permission in respect of the development expires or is revoked.

Copies of the Order and the deposited plan may be inspected free of charge at Du Construction Ltd, Block F, Parc Busnes Penrhos, Holyhead, LL65 2FD, from 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday, or may be obtained free of charge by email to TransportOrdersBranch@gov.wales or in writing to Orders Branch, Transport, Welsh Government, Cathays Park, Cardiff CF10 3NQ quoting reference qA2055503.

If a person is aggrieved by the Order, on the grounds that:

a. it is not within the powers of the 1990 Act; or

b. a procedural requirement of the 1990 Act has not been complied with;

that person may, within 6 weeks of 28 October 2024 make an application for the purpose to the High Court.

An irregular shaped length of highway footway on Minffordd Road, Llanfihangel yn Nhywyn, Llanfair-yn-Neubwll, Caergeiliog, Holyhead, located 56.16 metres north-east from the centre of its junction with Dinam Road, with a maximum length of 72.11 metres, a maximum width of 2.43 metres and marked with cross hatching on the deposited plan.
