NOTICE OF PROPOSAL

Introduction and amendment of electric scooter and cycle hire pedal cycle parking places, revocation of pedal cycle (other than cycle hire pedal cycle) parking places, and amendments to payment parking places and disabled persons parking places at various locations.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other powers, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Common Council of the City of London intend to make the orders set out in section 1 to this notice, with the effect set out in section 2 to this notice, by amending the orders set out in section 3 to this notice.

1. The following orders intend to be made;

The City of London (Electric Scooter and Pedal Cycle Parking) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*

The City of London (Parking Places) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*

The City of London (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*

2. The orders set out in section 1 to this notice above will propose to have the following effect;

(a) introduces Electric Scooter and Cycle Hire Pedal Cycle Parking Places in:- Aldermanbury, south- east side, outside No. 20 Aldermanbury; Arthur Street, north- west side, outside No. 12 Arthur Street; Ave Maria Lane, west side, outside Nos. 3 -4 Ave Maria Lane; Bream Buildings, north side, outside Nos. 15- 25 Bream Buildings; Tallis Street, north side, outside No. 1 Tallis Street; Carmelite Street, east side, outside No. 7 Carmelite Street; Cloak Lane, north- east side, outside No. 72 Cloak Lane; Foster Lane, east side, outside No. 13 Foster Lane; Gophir Lane, north- east side, adjacent to No. 28 Bush Lane; Milk Street, west side, two parking places north of Russia Row; Nicholas Lane, south- east side, adjacent to No. 24 Lombard Street; Old Bailey, west side, outside No. 32 Old Bailey; Queen Victoria Street, north-west side, one parking place east of Sise Lane and one parking place west of Sise Lane; Ropemaker Street, south- west side, from a point 21.2 metres east of Moor Lane; Rolls Buildings, north side, from a point 25 metres west of Fetter Lane; Seething Lane, east side, from a point 8 metres north of Muscovy Street; Bread Street, east side, outside Watling House; Eastcheap, south side, outside No. 20 Eastcheap; Giltspur Street, east side, outside No, 20 Giltspur Street; India Street, north side, adjacent to 31 Jewry Street, London Metropolitan University; Mark Lane, west side, from a point 13.4 metres north of Great Tower Street; Noble Street, east side, from a point 45.8 metres north of Oat Lane; Staining Lane, west side, from a point 10.3 metres north of Gresham Street; Austin Friars Square, north side, all that part of the north side, which is bounded on the north by so much of the edge of the carriageway of that highway as extends from a point 4 metre east of the western kerb-line of Austin Friars Square.

(b) Revoke Electric Scooter and Cycle Hire Pedal Cycle Parking Place:- Eastcheap, north side, outside Nos. 37 – 39 Eastcheap; Bucklersbury, north side from a point 18.3 metres east of eastern kerbside of Bucklersbury.

(c) Extend existing Electric Scooter and Cycle Hire Pedal Cycle Parking Place:- Milton Street, west side, by 6.6 metres; Shoe Lane, west wide, to 7.6 metres in total.

(d) Revoke Pedal Cycle (other than Cycle Hire Pedal Cycle) Parking Places:-

i. Staining Lane, west side, from a point 10 metres north of Gresham Street;

ii. Bucklersbury, north side, from a point 13.3 metres east of the eastern kerbside of Bucklersbury.

(e) Aldermanbury to relocate the disabled persons parking place on the south-east side outside No. 20 Aldermanbury south westwards by 23.5 meters;

(f) Cloak Lane

i. to relocate the disabled persons parking place on the north-east side outside No. 28 Cloak Lane north westwards outside Cannongate House, replacing one existing payment parking place parking place;

ii. relocate one payment parking place on the north- east side, south eastwards by 30 metres;

(g) Milton Street to relocate the disabled parking place on the west side northwards by 10.3 metres;

(h) Eastcheap to convert one payment parking place on the south side to one E-scooter and Cycle Hire parking place and to convert one E-scooter and Cycle Hire parking place on the north side to one payment parking place, near to its junction with Rood Lane;

(i) Staining Lane to relocate the payment parking places, on the west side, northwards;

(j) Mark Lane to relocate payment parking places, on the west side, northwards by 3.5 metres.

(k) Bread Street extend existing payment parking places, on the east side, by 0.5m.

3. The order will be made by amending the following orders;

The City of London (Electric Scooter and Pedal Cycle Parking) (No. 1) Order 2022 (as amended)

The City of London (Parking Places) (Consolidation No. 1) Order 2018 (as amended)

The City of London (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (No. 4) Order 2013 (as amended)

4. Copies of the proposed Orders, the statement of reasons for proposing to make the Orders and plans showing all scheme proposals, along with a copy of the relevant Consolidation Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Monday to Fridays inclusive at Technology Support Desk, North Wing, Guildhall, London, EC2V 7HH and on https://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/services/streets/traffic-schemes-and-proposals/traffic-order-consultations.
