TAKE NOTICE that the Shropshire Council of the Guildhall, Frankwell Quay, Shrewsbury, Shropshire SY3 8HB being the highways authority for Shropshire intends to apply to Telford Magistrates sitting at Telford Magistrates Court, Telford Square, Malinsgate, Telford, Shropshire TF3 4HX on 24th February 2025 at 11:00 am for an Order under Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the stopping up of a part of the highway at Copthorne Road, Shrewsbury, Shropshire in the following manner:

By stopping up 2 small areas of land measuring approximately 47 square metres in total and consisting of 2 narrow irregular parcels of land at the junction of Whitfield Crescent and Copthorne Road, Shrewsbury on the grounds that those parts of the highway are unnecessary for public use.

A copy of this Notice and plan may be inspected free of charge during normal office hours at The Guildhall, Frankwell Quay, Shrewsbury, Shropshire SY3 8HB.

Any person wishing to object to the proposal or make representations about it may appear at the hearing on the date and time shown above. Any such person intending to attend the hearing is requested to inform the Council by writing to the undersigned quoting reference JF/HT.
