At 10am on 6th March 2025 Dorset Council as Highway Authority for the County of Dorset intends to apply to the Dorset Magistrates’ Court sitting at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court the Law Courts, Westwey Road, Weymouth Dorset DT4 8BS for an application under Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of this Order, if made, will be to stop up public highway rights over a strip of highway land making up part of Gentian Way and Boxwood Road, Weymouth DT3 6FH. A plan illustrating the extent of the Order applied for may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester DT1 1XJ during its normal opening hours.

Anyone aggrieved by this application may oppose it by attending in person at the Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on 6 March 2025 at 10am and they will have the right to be heard.
