DOCKLESS E-BIKE AND E-SCOOTER PARKING
THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HOUNSLOW (E-SCOOTER/E-BIKE PARKING) (AMENDMENT NO.2) ORDER 2025
1. The London Borough of Hounslow hereby gives notice that on 5 February 2025 it made the above Order under Section 6 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into operation on 8 February 2025
2. The general effect of the Order will be to make permanent the experimental order and will:
a) introduce e-bike parking bays in Cains Lane, Hatchett Road, Hatton Green, New Road and Sherborne Road, Bedfont;
b) introduce e-bike parking bays in, Baber Drive, Bedfont Road, Brainton Avenue, Burns Avenue, Carlton Avenue, Chertsey Road, Highfield Road, Raleigh Road, Space Waye, St Dunstans Road, Westmacott Drive (x2), Feltham;
c) introduce e-bike parking bays in Alfred Road, Bideford Close, Cardinal Road, Elmwood Avenue, Lebanon Avenue, Ludlow Road, Mount Road, Nene Gardens, Pevensey Road, Riverdale Road, South Road, St George’s Road, Sunningdale Avenue, Swift Road, Wigley Road (x2) and Woodlawn Drive, Hanworth;
d) introduce e-bike parking bays in Bath Road, Clevedon Gardens, Firs Drive, Great South-West Road, Hawthorn Close, Legrace Avenue, Mornington Crescent and Salisbury Road, Cranford;
e) introduce e-bike parking bays in Alderney Avenue, Beechcroft Close, Broad Walk, Channel Close, Court Road, Kingswood Avenue, Northfield Road, Queenswood Avenue, Raleighs Road, Ringway, Summerhouse Avenue, Sutton Hall Road, Sutton Square, The Vale, Walnut Tree Road, Wentworth Road, West Way and Winchester Avenue, Heston; and
f) introduce e-bike parking bays in Station Road, Brentford; Dan Mason Drive, Riverside Drive and The Promenade, Chiswick; Musgrave Road, North Street and Lulworth Avenue, Isleworth; Essex Avenue, Hounslow; Kings Road, Hanworth Park.
3. Amend existing parking bays and waiting restrictions (yellow lines) to accommodate the e-bike parking bays.
4. The trial will also see the introduction of footway parking areas for e-bikes in the following roads:
a) Bedfont Road, Longleat Way, Staines Road, Bedfont;
b) Ashford Road, Bedfont Lane, Central Way, Harlington Road West, High Street (x4), Hounslow Road, Sparrow Farm Drive and Staines Road (x2), Feltham;
c) Bear Road, Boundaries Road, Forest Road and Hounslow Road, Hanworth;
d) Arundel Road, Berkeley Avenue, Chaucer Avenue and Green Lane, Cranford;
e) Bath Road, Brabazon Road, Church Road, Cranford Lane, Crosslands Avenue, Lampton Road, New Heston Road and Vicarage Farm Road, Heston;
f) Worple Avenue, Isleworth.
5. Documents giving further information of the Orders can be viewed for a period of six weeks from the date of this Notice online at hounslow.gov.uk by typing in the term “traffic notices” in the search bar.
6. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or any provision contained therein on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make an application for the purpose to the High Court.
