MODEL TWA SECTION 14(1)(B) LONDON GAZETTE NOTICE WHERE DECISION IS TO MAKE THE ORDER
TRANSPORT AND WORKS ACT 1992
The Secretary of State for Transport gives notice under section 14(1)(b), (2A) of the Transport and Works Act 1992 (“the Act”) that she has determined under section 13(1) of the Act to make with minor modifications the Mid-Suffolk Light Railway Order 2025 (“the Order”).
The Order was applied for by Mid-Suffolk Light Railway Company, Brockford Station, Wetheringsett, Stowmarket IP14 5PW. The Order will authorise the operation and maintenance of a phased re-instatement of 936 metres of the former Mid-Suffolk Light-Railway in Wetheringsett in Suffolk. All of the land to which the Order relates is currently occupied by the Applicant as lessee. The Order, once made, may be found at https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ or can be obtained from the Stationery Office https://www.tso.co.uk/.
The Secretary of State has, pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Act, given notice of her determination by way of a decision letter dated 21 February 2025 published on the GOV.UK pages https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/mid-suffolk-light-railway-transport-and-works-act-order copies of which may be obtained from the Transport Infrastructure Planning Unit, Department for Transport, Zone 1/14, Great Minster House, 33 Horseferry Road, London, SW1P 4DRor by emailing transportinfrastructure@dft.gov.uk. The letter gives the reasons for the determination and the considerations upon which it is based; information about the public participation process; and information regarding the right to challenge the validity of the determination and the procedures for doing so.
