PROPOSED ZEBRA CROSSING, BUS LANES/BUS PRIORITY AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN SOUTHEND LANE AREA, SE6

THE LEWISHAM (CHARGED FOR PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT NO *) ORDER 202*
1. The Council of the London Borough of Lewisham propose to make:-
(a) under Section 6 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) “The Lewisham (Prescribed Routes) (No.*) Order 202*” the effect of which will be to:-
(i) Introduce a north-westbound bus lane on the south-west side of the carriageway of Southend Lane, from a point opposite the western kerb-line of Farmstead Road and a point 1m east of the western property boundary line of No.211;
(ii) Introduce a westbound bus lane on the south side of the carriageway of Southend Lane, from a point 2.7m west of the of western kerb-line of the eastern arm of Sedgehill Road westwards for a distance of 17m;
(iii) Introduce a westbound bus lane on the south side of the carriageway of Southend Lane, from a point 2m west of the western kerb-line of western arm of Sedgehill Road westwards to a point 9.2m east of the eastern kerb-line of the unnamed access road leading to Nos.233-249 (Lidl);
(iv) Introduce a westbound bus lane on the south side of the carriageway of Southend Lane, from the western kerb-line of the unnamed access road leading to Nos.233-249 (Lidl) westwards for a distance of 29m;
(v) Introduce a westbound bus lane on the south side of the carriageway of Southend Lane, from a point 2m west of the western kerb-line of Meadowview Road westwards to a point 2m west of the party wall of Nos.282/284 and 286/288;
(vi) The above proposals prohibit vehicles, except buses, pedal cycles, taxis, dial-a-ride buses and solo motorcycles, from entering or proceeding in the proposed bus lanes between 7am and 7pm;
(vii) Exemptions also apply for: a vehicle crossing a bus lane to get to or from any road or premises adjacent to the bus lane or to a vehicle crossing for the purpose of parking in a parking place.
(b) under Sections 6, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46 and 49 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) “The Lewisham (Free Parking Places, Loading Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Consolidation) (Amendment No *) Order 202*” and “The Lewisham (Charged for Parking Places) (Consolidation) (Amendment No *) Order 202*” the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting by vehicles at any time in the length of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
2. Notice is also hereby given that the London Borough of Lewisham, in exercise of their powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Section 23(2)(A) of the said Act 1984, propose to establish a Zebra Crossing on Southend Lane, SE6. The proposed Zebra Crossing will be centred at a point 12.10m west of the centreline of Farmstead Road. The width between the studs of the crossing will be 4m.
3. Copies of the draft Order, plans and Statement of the Council’s Reasons for proposing to make the Order and proposing the Zebra crossing may be obtained by emailing a request to trafficorders@lewisham.gov.uk quoting reference ‘PTO – 1071’.
4. Comments on the proposals for or against, together with the reasons for which they are made should be sent through the lewisham.traffweb.app website or in writing to trafficorders@lewisham.gov.uk or Lewisham Transport Policy & Development, Laurence House, 1 Catford Road, London SE6 4RU, quoting reference ‘PTO-1071’ to arrive not later than 21 days from the date of publication of this notice.
5. All written representations received concerning Traffic Regulation Orders are public documents that may be inspected by any person on demand.

Farmstead Road – on both sides of the carriageway, at the junction with Southend Lane and for a distance of 6m; Southend Lane – (a) on the northern side, from the western kerb-line of Farmstead Road, for a distance of 6m; (b) northern side, outside Nos.160 and 162, a total distance of 10m; (c) northern side, outside Nos.172 and 174 for a distance of 12.5m; (d) southern side, from a point opposite the western kerb-line of Farmstead Road for a distance of 24m; (e) northern side, outside Nos.184 and 186 for a distance of 16.7m; northern side, from the western kerb-line of King Alfred Avenue and the property boundary line between Nos.182 and 184; (f) northern side, from the eastern kerb-line of King Alfred Avenue, for a distance of 4.2m; (g) southern side, both sides of the eastern arm of Sedgehill Road, for a distance of 8m westerly and 7.3m easterly; (h) southern side, the western kerb-line of the western arm of Sedgehill Road, for a distance of 8m westerly; (i) northern side, from the property boundary line of Nos.204 and 206 eastwards for a distance of 13m; (j) southern side, eastern kerb-line of the unnamed access road leading to Nos.233-249 (Lidl), a distance of 9.2m east and 8m south; (k) southern side, western kerb-line of the unnamed access road leading to Nos.233-249 (Lidl), a distance of 2m west and 6.4m south; (l) southern side, western kerb-line of Meadowview Road for a distance of 9m; (m) southern side, eastern kerb-line of Meadowview Road for a distance of 8.65m; (n) northern side, eastern kerb-line of Firhill Road, for a distance of 3m; (o) northern side, western kerb-line of Firhill Road, for a distance of 8.8m; (p) southern side, at the access road leading to Berkshire House a total distance of 12m; (q) southern side, western kerb-line of Park Court for a distance of 20m; (r) southern side, eastern kerb-line of Park Court for a distance of 14.7m; (s) southern side, outside the eastern access to No.315 (Southend Lane Tyres) a distance of 11.5m; (t) southern side, outside the western access to No.315 (Serks Motorways) a distance of 16.8m; (u) northern side, outside the access to No.262 a distance of 5.2m; (v) northern side, between No.274 to 280 a distance of 15.3m; Sedgehill Road – (a) eastern arm, western side, from its junction with Southend Lane for a distance of 8m; (b) eastern arm, eastern side, from its junction with Southend Lane for a distance of 6.5m; (c) western arm, eastern side, from its junction with Southend Lane for a distance of 8.2m; (d) western arm, eastern side, from its junction with Southend Lane for a distance of 8.2m; King Alfred Avenue – (a) western side, from the junction with Southend Lane for a distance of 9.2m; (b) eastern side, from the junction with Southend Lane for a distance of 8.2m; Meadowview Road – (a) eastern side, from the junction of Southend Lane for a distance of 12.5m; (b) western side, from the junction Southend Lane for a distance of 9m; Firhill Road – (a) western side, from the junction with Southend Lane to the property boundary line between Nos.197 and 199 Firhill Road; (b) eastern side, from the junction with Southend Lane to a point opposite the property boundary line between Nos.197 and 199 Firhill Road.
