THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM (PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLE ZONES) (VARIOUS ROADS) ORDER 2025

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM (WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (NORTH CLOSE) AMENDMENT NO. 141 ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham in exercise of its powers under sections 6 and 124 and Parts I to IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended (hereinafter called “the Act”) and all other enabling legislation and powers and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis in accordance with Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act made the above Orders.

The general effect of which will be to:

1. Introduce Pedestrian and Cycle Zones No Motor Vehicles Mon-Fri 8.00-9.15am and 2.45-4.00pm Except for School Street Permit Holders, at the following locations:

a. South Close, Dagenham, both sides, from its junction with New Road for its entire length.

b. North Close, Dagenham, both sides, from its junction with Whitebarn Lane for its entire length.

2. Replace the existing No Waiting Mon-Sat 8.30am-5.30pm restrictions with No Waiting at any time and No loading at any time restrictions at the following locations:

a. North Close, west side, from its junction with Whitebarn Lane for 12.5 metres in a southerly direction.

b. North Close, east side, from its junction with Whitebarn Lane for 9.4 metres in a southerly direction.

A copy of the Orders, which will come into force on 13th March 2025 and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Orders are available to view for a period of 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is published on the Council’s website by following the webpage https://www.lbbd.gov.uk/parking/parking-area and selecting ‘New and proposed traffic and parking schemes’ or available for inspection at the Adult Library, First Floor, Barking Learning Centre, Barking between the hours of 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within powers of the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or any Regulations under it have not been complied with may do so within six weeks of the made date of the Order by applying to the High Court.
