PRE-ADOPTION STAGE CONSULTATION ON THE HABITATS REGULATIONS REPORT, THE SUSTAINABILITY APPRAISAL REPORT, THE EQUALITY IMPACT ASSESSMENT REPORT AND THE RURAL NEEDS IMPACT ASSESSMENT REPORT
Following receipt of a Direction from the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) under section 12(1)(b) of the Planning Act (NI) 2011 and the report of the Planning Appeals Commission (PAC) into the Independent Examination of the Derry City & Strabane District Council Local Development Plan (LDP) 2032 - draft Plan Strategy, notice is hereby given that Derry City & Strabane District Council is publishing the following documents for public consultation:
- draft Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA)
- Sustainability Appraisal Report (Further Addendum)
- Equality Impact Assessment Report (Further Addendum)
- Rural Needs Impact Assessment (Further Addendum)
Expressions of Opinion / Comments
Expressions of opinion or comments are invited on the four above-named documents; they must be received by no later than 10th April 2025.
How to View Documents and Submit Comments
Copies of the above documents, as well as the DfI Direction and the PAC Report, are available for inspection online at the following link: www.derrystrabane.com/ldp Copies of the documents are also available for inspection during normal office opening hours, strictly by appointment only, from 20th March 2025 at the Council’s two main offices at 98 Strand Road, Derry, BT48 7NN and 47 Derry Road, Strabane, Co. Tyrone, BT82 8DY.
If you do require to inspect the documents in hard copy, please write to us or submit an email to the ldp@derrystrabane.com or telephone the LDP Team during normal office hours on 028 71 253253. Arrangements will be made for an appointment, or alternative arrangements made.
Comments on the four above-named documents can be submitted in writing by either:

· Posting to: Local Development Plan Derry City & Strabane District Council, 98 Strand Road, Derry, BT48 7NN
The consultation period will close on 10th April 2025. Comments received after this date will not be considered.
