The proposed development at Balmullo Quarry Lucklaw Quarry Road Lucklaw Balmullo is subject to assessment under the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations 2017.

Notice is hereby given that an environmental statement has been submitted to Fife Council by Mr Kris Bremner relating to the planning application (Ref: 25/00417/EIA) for EIA application for the First Periodic Review of Planning Conditions of Mineral Permission 05/00835/EEIA - ROMP application under Section 74 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997.

Please note that this is not a planning application, but is an application under the Review of Old Minerals Permissions (ROMP) process.

The purpose of the application is solely to review the existing suite of planning conditions governing the existing Balmullo Quarry and your comments on the adequacy of these conditions, and the proposed updated suite of conditions, is what your comments should be restricted to.

For your information, a new planning application (upon which you will be consulted in due course) has been submitted for an extension to Balmullo Quarry, but that application has no bearing on the current ROMP application in the context of this consultation request.

Possible decisions relating to the application are:- (i) approval of the application without conditions; (ii) approval of the application with conditions; (iii) refusal of the application.
