ABANDONMENT – BELSIZE GARDENS AND BELSIZE WAY, LISBURN
The Department for Infrastructure (DfI), gives notice of its intention to make an Order under Article 68 of the Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993, the effect of which would be to abandon, after completion of such works as the Department considers necessary for the provision of alternative facilities for road traffic, two areas of land totalling 340.76 square metres, comprising—
· a turning head measuring 165.92 square metres adjacent to No. 9 Belsize Gardens, Lisburn; and
· a turning head measuring 174.84 square metres adjacent to No. 3 Belsize Way, Lisburn.
The areas of road proposed to be abandoned are delineated on a map which, together with a copy of a draft Order, may be inspected free of charge during office hours within the period 9 April 2025 to 20 May 2025 at DfI Roads Eastern Division, 1st Floor Hydebank House, 4a Hospital Road, Ballydollaghan, Belfast, BT8 8JL or viewed online at www.infrastructure-ni.gov.uk/consultations
Inspection of the draft Order and map is by appointment only which can be arranged either by e-mail using the office e-mail address below or by telephone during office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.) on 0300 200 7899.
Any person may, within the period above, object to the proposal by writing to the Department at the address above or by emailing lands.eastern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk stating the grounds of the objection.
