The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has made a Statutory Rule entitled the Plant Health ( Phytophthora ramorum ) Order (Northern Ireland) 2003 (SR 2003 No. 193). The Order was made on 25th March 2003 and comes into operation on 16th April 2003.

This Order implements European Commission Decision 2002/757/EC on the introduction and movement of material susceptible to the plant disease Phytophthora ramorum commonly known as Sudden Oak Death, and replaces previous controls in Statutory Rule 2002 No. 269.
