The Waste and Contaminated Land (Northern Ireland) Order 1997

Commencement Order No. 7

The Department of the Environment has made a Commencement Order entitled The Waste and Contaminated Land (1997 Order) (Commencement No. 7) Order (Northern Ireland) 2003 (S.R. 2003 No. 489 (C.38)).

This Order brings into operation on 27th November 2003, certain provisions of the Waste and Contaminated Land (Northern Ireland) Order 1997 (the 1997 Order) which enable the Department to make regulations relating to waste management licensing. The Order also brings into operation certain other miscellaneous provisions of the 1997 Order and repeals those parts of the Pollution Control and Local Government (Northern Ireland) Order 1978 which are to be replaced by the 1997 Order.
