Notice of declaration of an Air Quality Management Area

Limavady Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 12(1) of the Environment (Northern Ireland) Order 2002 has made an Order declaring an Air Quality Management Area in its district due to the likely breach of the nitrogen dioxide (annual mean) objective as specified in the Air Quality Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003.

This Order and the designated Air Quality Management Area came into effect on 1 March 2006. The Order shall remain in force until it is varied or revoked by a subsequent Order.

The designated area quality management area incorporates a section of Main Street, Dungiven between River Roe Bridge and 106 Main Street and 89 Main Street.

The Order and a map showing the extent of the Air Quality Management Order can be inspected at the offices of the Environmental Health Department of Limavady Borough Council between the hours of 09.00 to 12.30 and 13.30 to 17.00 Monday to Friday.
