THE DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION (2006 ORDER) (COMMENCEMENT NO 2) ORDER (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2006

Notice is hereby given that the Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister, in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 1(2) of the Disability Discrimination (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 has made a statutory rule entitled the Disability Discrimination (2006 Order) (Commencement No 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2006.

This is the second Commencement Order to be made under the Disability Discrimination (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 (“the Order”). The Order extensively amends the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.

Article 2 brings into operation Article 5 (duty of public authorities) of the Order on 1st January 2007.
