Owenreagh Wind Farm Ltd.

Application for a Generation Licence under Article 10(1)(a) of the Electricity (NI) Order 1992 As amended by the Energy (Northern Ireland) Order 2003

Owenreagh Wind farm Ltd.(Company Registration No. NI 058113) whose registered principal office is at 21 Arthur Street, Belfast BT1 49A hereby gives notice that it is applying to the office for the Regulation of Electricity and Gas Northern Ireland for a Generating Licence under Article 10(l)(a) of the Electricity (NI) Order 1992 as Amended by the Energy (NI) Order 2003 to take effect from April 2007. The current directors of the applicant are as follows:

The immediate parent company of Owenreagh Wind Farm Ltd. is SWS/Lisavaird NI Limited, 21 Arthur Street, Belfast BT1 49A.

It is intended that one generating station is to be operated under the licence (if granted) comprising 16 individual wind turbines located at Owenreagh Wind farm, Owenreagh Hill, Co. Tyrone. Grid reference: E 242284 N 396445

At present there is a wind farm at the site, comprising 10 turbines, which doesn’t require a generating licence. It is intended that 6 new turbines be installed at the site thereby requiring a licence.

The wind farm will total 10.6 MW comprising the 10 existing turbines (each 0.55 MW) and 6 new turbines (each 0.85 MW). Summary details are listed below:

No powers under Schedule 3 (compulsory acquisition of land etc) and under Schedule 4 (others power etc) to the Order are considered necessary to be given through the licence.

No other licences are held, applied for or being applied for by the applicant in respect of the generation, transmission or supply of electricity.

Copies of the maps relevant to this application have been lodged in accordance with Schedule 2 of part II of the Electricity (Applications for Licences and Extensions of Licences) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1992 at the office for the Regulation of Electricity and Gas Northern Ireland, Queens House, 14 Queen Street, BELFAST BT1 6ER.Copies are available for inspection by the public between lOa.m and 4p.m on any working day.
