The Metering (Prescribed Consumer) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007

The Department for Regional Development has made a Statutory Rule entitled The Metering (Prescribed Consumer) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007. These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 204(1) of the Water and Sewerage Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006.

These Regulations define the categories of consumer who are eligible to have a water meter installed as those aged 60 or over.

The Regulations will come into operation on 1st April 2007.
