SECTION 86 AND SCHEDULE 15 OF THE FRIENDLY SOCIETIES ACT 1992 – PARTIAL TRANSFER OF ENGAGEMENTS

Notice is hereby given under paragraph 6 of Schedule 15 to the Friendly Societies Act 1992 that Application has been made by Family Assurance Friendly Society Limited to the Financial Services Authority for confirmation of the transfer of part of the business carried on by Family Assurance Friendly Society Limited to Reliance Mutual Insurance Society Limited.

Any interested party has the right to make written representations and/or give notice of their intention to make oral representations to the Financial Services Authority with respect to the Application. Subject to approval of the proposed partial transfer of engagements by members of Family Assurance Friendly Society Limited at the Annual General Meeting on 29 May 2008, the Financial Services Authority intends to hear oral representations on [10] July 2008 and has determined that written representations and/or notice of the intention to make oral representations must be received by them no later than [23] June 2008. It would be helpful if the nature of any proposed oral representations were stated when giving notice.
