ENVIRONMENT (NORTHERN IRELAND) ORDER 2002, PART III, ARTICLE 12(1)

THE NEWTOWNABBEY BOROUGH COUNCIL AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT AREA ORDER No. 3 ANTRIM ROAD, ELMFIELD

1. Notice is hereby given that the Newtownabbey Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Article 12(1) of The Environment (NI) Order 2002 Part III, on the 29th day of June 2009, made an order entitled The Newtownabbey Borough Council Air Quality Management Area No. 3, Antrim Road, Elmfield declaring the streets described in the schedule hereto to be an Air Quality Management Area. It varies the previous Newtownabbey Borough Council Air Quality Management Area No.3 Antrim Road, Elmfield made on 28 January 2008.
2. The Area is designated in relation to a likely breach of the Nitrogen Dioxide Objective (annual mean and the hourly mean) as specified in the Air Quality Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003.
3. The Order shall remain in force until it is varied or revoked by a subsequent Order.
4. Copies of the order (and of the map referred to therein) may be inspected free of charge at the offices of the Council, Mossley Mill, Newtownabbey at all reasonable times during the period from 1 July 2009 to 12 August 2009 or by visiting the Council website at www.newtownabbey.gov.uk.
