National Savings
IMPORTANT NOTICE
NS&I WILL NO LONGER ISSUE CASH PAYMENTS FROM NS&I CASH ISAS AFTER 22 FEBRUARY 2013
From this date, customers of NS&I’s Cash ISA will no longer be able to request withdrawals in cash for collection at Post Office® branches. (Cash payment advice slips are only valid for one month from the date of issue.)
Instead, we will only make payments by:
• crossed warrant (like a cheque that customers can pay into their bank account); or
• direct credit into a bank account, using the Bankers Automated Clearing System (BACS).
Why is NS&I making this change?
Only a very few of our customers still collect payments in cash and it was becoming increasingly expensive for us to maintain this service. Also, making payment by crossed warrant or direct credit to a bank account is more secure.
