NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 34

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 36(1)(a) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974, that an application has been made to SEPA by Morgan Babtie Alliance on behalf of Scottish Water for consent to discharge screened sewage from a storm overflow and emergency overflow to the Cargen Pow, a tributary of the River Nith, at NGR NX 954 749 from a sewage pumping station at Dupont Works, Cargenbridge.

Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, 5 Redwood Crescent, Peel Park, East Kilbride, Glasgow G74 5PP not later than 7th January 2003, quoting reference WPC/W/30862.

A copy of the application may be inspected free of charge at the above address and at Rivers House, Irongray Road, Dumfries, at all reasonable hours.
