THE IMPORTATION OF ANIMAL PRODUCTS AND POULTRY PRODUCTS ORDER 1980 (AS AMENDED)
GENERAL IMPORT LICENCE
The Scottish Ministers, by this licence issued under the terms of Article 4 of the Importation of Animal Products and Poultry Products Order 1980 (as amended) authorise subject to and in accordance with the conditions set out below the landing in Scotland of:

from Andorra, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia,
The Faroe Islands, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland
Port of entry
at All ports and airports in Scotland
until further notice unless revoked by the Scottish Ministers, Licence No. IAPPPO/94/13 dated 4th May 1994 is hereby revoked.

Conditions Attached to this Licence
1. | The product must be carried by travellers in their luggage for their personal consumption, taking into account the nature of the product and the quantity thereof, that could reasonably be consumed by an individual. |
Notes
1. | Consignments landed in contravention of this licence are liable to be seized and destroyed without compensation. |
2. | Products in which trade is prohibited by a Declaration issued under Regulation 54 of the Products of Animal Origin (Third Country Imports) (Scotland) Regulations 2002 (as amended) may not be imported under this licence. |
3. | Nothing in this licence gives exemption from any prohibition or restriction imposed by the Imported Food (Scotland) Regulations 1985, the provisions of the Food Safety Act 1990 and Regulations made under it, the Animal By-Products (Identification) Regulations 1995, the Marketing Authorisations for Veterinary Medicinal Products Regulations 1994 or by any regulation superseding or amending the same. |
4. | This is not a Department of Trade and Industry licence and gives no exemption from any prohibition, regulation or restriction imposed by the Department of Trade and Industry. |
5. | Please note that while this licence is current at the time of its issue, conditions can be subject to frequent change and importers are advised to check the latest position with the Animal Health Branch (see below). |
Caution
It is the importer’s responsibility to ensure that any import covered by this licence complies with the terms and conditions as set out.
Any breach of any conditions attached to this licence will constitute an offence against the Animal Health Act 1981.
