Notice is hereby given that Angus Council Roads Department has applied to the Scottish Ministers of the Scottish Executive, under section 34 of the Coast Protection Act 1949 as amended by the section 36 of the Merchant Shipping Act 1988, to carry out Removal of existing Gabion Revetment and replaced with Rock Armour Revetment and Associated Works at the above location in the position:

Plans showing the position of the works may be inspected at County Buildings, Market Street, Forfar between the hours of 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED COAST PROTECTION WORK CARNOUSTIE BEACH, CARNOUSTIE
COASTAL PROTECTION SCHEME 2003

Angus Council hereby gives notice under Section 5(1) of the above Act that they propose to carry out coast protection work at Carnoustie beach, extending from a point 10 metres to the west of the Lochty Burn outfall to a point 540 metres west along the coastline. The estimated cost of this works is £640,000.

Plans showing the position of the works may be inspected at County Buildings, Market Street, Forfar between the hours of 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday.

Any person may serve a written notice of objection to the proposal within five weeks following the publication of this notice to The Scottish Ministers and the Council by addressing the notices of objections to the Scottish Environment Group, Air Climate & Engineering Unit, Victoria Quay, Edinburgh EH6 6QQ and to the Chief Executive of the Council, 7 The Cross, Forfar, DD8 1BX respectively.
