NOTICE OF APPLICATIONS FOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 34
Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 36(1)(a) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974, that the following applications for consent to discharge have been made to SEPA by Scottish Water:

a) | Screened storm sewage consisting of all flows in excess of the pass forward flow of 5 litres per second up to a maximum flow of 84 litres per second from a combined sewer overflow at a new sewage pumping station opposite 40-41 Marine Parade, Millport, to the Firth of Clyde at Kames Bay, Isle of Cumbrae, at NGR NS 1712 5462. |

* It should be noted that these proposed discharges of sewage are emergency overflows and will occur only in the event of power failure or breakdown of the sewage pumping station.
Any person who wishes to make representations about any of these applications should do so in writing to the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, 5 Redwood Crescent, Peel Park, East Kilbride, Glasgow G74 5PP, not later than 6th May 2003, quoting the appropriate reference number.
Copies of the applications may be inspected free of charge at the above address, at SEPA District Office, 31 Miller Road, Ayr, and at North Ayrshire Council Offices, 49 Stuart Street, Millport, Isle of Cumbrae, at all reasonable hours.
