NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 34

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 36(1)(a) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 (as amended), that applications have been made to SEPA by Scottish Water for consent to discharge trade and sewage effluent and trade effluent at the following locations:

WPC/N/0070798	Discharge of up to 231m3 per day of trade and sewage effluent from new water treatment works, West of A896, North of Lochcarron Village, to the Allt nan Carnan at National Grid Reference NG 8956 3981
WPC/N/0070799	Discharge of up to 48m3 per day of trade effluent from new water treatment works, Ascaig Cottage, Stromeferry, to the Allt Cadh an Eas at National Grid Reference NG 8544 3334

Any person who wishes to make representations about these applications should do so in writing to The Registrar, Scottish Environment Protection Agency, Graesser House, Fodderty Way, Dingwall, IV15 9XB, not later than 19th August 2003, quoting reference WPC/N/0070798 or WPC/N/0070799.

Copies of the applications may be inspected free of charge, at the above address or at the Highland Council Service Points, Lochcarron (ref WPC/N/0070798) and Kyle of Lochalsh (ref WPC/N/0070799).
