NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 34

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 36(1) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974, that an application has been made to SEPA by Thistle Developments for consent to discharge up to 8 cubic metres per day of treated sewage effluent to the Liddel Water at National Grid Reference NY 479 858 from a proposed Caravan Park on land adjacent to Mangerton Farmhouse, Newcastleton, Roxburghshire, TD9 0TF.

Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, 5 Redwood Crescent, Peel Park, East Kilbride, Glasgow, G74 5PP, not later than 16th September 2003, quoting reference WPC/W/31162.

A copy of the application may be inspected free of charge at the above address, the SEPA District Office, Rivers House, Irongray Road, Dumfries, DG2 0JE and at the Scottish Borders Council Planning Office, High Street, Hawick, at all reasonable hours.
