By virtue of the power and authority vested in me under Section 3 of the Lieutenancies Act 1997, Do Hereby, With Her Majesty’s Approbation, Constitute, Nominate, Appoint and Grant Commission to You, the said Iona, Duchess of Argyll, to be a Depute Lord-Lieutenant for the County of Argyll and Bute, to act for me during my absence from the area, sickness or other inability to act; and you are hereby required to execute the office of Depute Lord-Lieutenant within the said County and in all things to conform yourself to the duties thereof.
