NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 34

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 36(1)(a) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 (As Amended), that an application has been made to SEPA by Lakeland Marine Farm Limited for consent to discharge trade effluent to Controlled Waters. This application refers to an existing installation and incorporates the addition of a second installation of similar biomass in the same location and includes the release of medicines for the treatment of sea lice infestations at the Marine Cage Fish Farm site at Bagh Dail nan Ceann, Loch Shuna/Sound of Jura at National Grid Ref NM 780 047.

Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to The Registrar, SEPA, 5 Redwood Crescent, Peel Park, East Kilbride, G74 5PP not later than 20th April 2004, quoting reference WPC/W/71219.

A copy of the application may be inspected free of charge, at the above office of SEPA at all reasonable hours, and by prior arrangement at the SEPA Argyll office at 2 Smithy Lane, Lochgilphead (telephone 01546 602876). It may also be inspected at Ardfern Post Office.
