NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 34

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 36(1)(a) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 (As Amended), that the following applications for consent to discharge have been made to SEPA by Scottish Water:

Ref WPC/W/71440:	Discharge of screened storm sewage (6mm standard) to Loch Ryan at NGR NX 059 615 from the new Port Roddie Sewage Pumping Station.
Ref WPC/W/71438:	Up to 12,874 cubic metres per day of treated sewage effluent to Loch Ryan at NGR NX 072 653 from the new Stranraer Sewage Treatment Works.

Any person who wishes to make representations about either of these applications should do so in writing to the Registrar, SEPA, 5 Redwood Crescent, Peel Park, East Kilbride G74 5PP, not later than 25th June 2004, quoting the reference number.

A copy of the application may be inspected free of charge at the above address at all reasonable hours and by prior arrangement with the SEPA District Office at Penkiln Bridge Court, Minnigaff, Newton Stewart DG8 6AA (Tel No 01671 402618).
