NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT IN PURSUANCE OF SECTION 34

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Section 36(1)(a) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974 (As Amended), that an application has been made to SEPA by Scottish Water for consent to discharge 388.78 cubic metres per day of treated sewage effluent to Kilbranan Sound at NGR NR 897 268 from the Blackwaterfoot sewerage system.

Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to The Registrar, SEPA, 5 Redwood Crescent, Peel Park, East Kilbride, G74 5PP not later than 30th November 2004, quoting reference WPC/W/71304.

A copy of the application may be inspected free of charge at SEPA at the above address, and at North Ayrshire Council, Shore Road, Lamlash, Isle of Arran during normal business hours, and by prior arrangement at the local SEPA office at 31 Miller Road, Ayr (Tel. 01292 294000).
