THE ACQUISITION OF LAND (AUTHORISATION PROCEDURE) ACT 1947 AND THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (SCOTLAND) ACT 1997

THE SOUTH LANARKSHIRE COUNCIL (ABBOTSFORD AVENUE, HAMILTON) COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER 2005

Notice is hereby given that South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by the above mentioned Acts, on 4 February 2005, made the above mentioned The South Lanarkshire Council (Abbotsford Avenue, Hamilton) Compulsory Purchase Order 2005, which affects the land described in the Schedule hereto, for the purpose of securing the carrying out of redevelopment and improvement of the Abbotsford Avenue area of Hamilton which action is necessary in the interest of the proper planning of the area in which the land is situated.

The Order is about to be submitted to the Scottish Ministers for confirmation and comes into operation only if confirmed.

A copy of the Order and the Map referred to therein have been deposited at (1) the offices of the Executive Director, Enterprise Resources, Montrose House, 154 Montrose Crescent, Hamilton and (2) Q & A Office, Brandon Gate, 1 Leechlee Road, Hamilton, and may be seen there, without payment of fee, between the hours of 8.45 am and 4.45 pm Mondays to Thursdays and 8.45 am and 4.15 pm on Fridays.

Any objections to the Order must be made in writing, stating the title of the Order and the grounds of objection and addressed to Scottish Executive Development Department, Planning Division, 2H Victoria Quay, Edinburgh EH6 6QQ, by 14 March 2005.

Description:-

All and whole that plot or are of ground extending to one hundred and ninety eight square metres (198m2) or thereby upon which the premises known as and forming 1A Abbotsford Avenue, Hamilton, were formerly erected, as the said plot of ground is shown delineated in red, coloured pink and marked ‘1’ on the Map.
