THE OFFSHORE COMBUSTION INSTALLATIONS (PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF POLLUTION) REGULATIONS 2001

FORM OF PUBLIC NOTICE

In accordance with the requirements of the Offshore Combustion Installations (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Regulations 2001, Nexen Petroleum UK Limited has applied to the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry for a permit to operate a combustion installation at the Buzzard Installation.

As required under regulation 7(1), copies of the application may be obtained on request either by e-mail (environmentalmanagementteam@dti.gsi.gov.uk), telephone (01224 254054), by fax (01224 254019), or in writing to the address below.

Individuals wishing to comment on the application have until the 17 June 2005 to make representations to the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, in the form of an e-mail, facsimile or letter quoting reference Buzzard PPC5 Application and addressed to:
