NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF LOCAL PLAN
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (SCOTLAND) ACT 1972
STEWARTRY LOCAL PLAN JULY 2006
On 13 June 2006 Dumfries and Galloway Council resolved to adopt the above named plan as modified by the Council.
Certified copies of the plan and of the resolution, together with (i) certified copies of the reports of all local inquiries held, (ii) the Council’s statements prepared following the consideration of such reports, (iii) the statement of the planning authority’s decision with respect to each objection containing reasons for the decision, have been deposited at:
Market Street, Castle Douglas; and
Kirkbank House, English Street, Dumfries.
The deposited documents are available for inspection free of charge at these locations on Mondays to Fridays 9.00am – 5.00pm. Documents are also available on the Council’s website at www.dgcommunity.net/planning
The plan becomes operative on 3 July 2006, but if any person aggrieved by the plan desires to question its validity on the ground that it is not within the powers conferred by Part II of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997, or that any requirements of the said Part II or of any regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the approval of the plan, he may, within six weeks from 29 June 2006 make an application to the Court of Session under section 238 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997.
