The Queen having been pleased to approve that Sir Michael Strang Steel, Bt, CBE, be appointed Vice Lord-Lieutenant for the Area of Roxburgh, Ettrick and Lauderdale to act for Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant during his absence from the area, sickness or inability to act, a Commission in his favour bearing the date 1 May 2008 has been signed by the Lord-Lieutenant.
