NATIONAL PARKS AND ACCESS TO THE COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1949 (AS AMENDED)
WILDLIFE & COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 (AS AMENDED)
NOTICE is HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 19 (4) of the above 1949 Act that by The Clyde Valley Woodlands National Nature Reserve No. 1 Declaration 2009 dated the Nineteenth day of June Two Thousand and Nine it was declared by Scottish Natural Heritage that the areas of ground extending in total to two hundred and sixty one decimal zero four hectares (261.04) or thereby at Cartland Craigs and Cleghorn Glen, near Lanark, Hamilton High Parks, Avon Braes and Meikle Glen, near Hamilton and Mauldslie Woods, near Carluke, all situated in the local authority area of South Lanarkshire Council are managed as a Nature Reserve under the provisions of the above Acts with effect from the First day of July Two Thousand and Nine.
With effect from the same date, the Clyde Valley Woodlands Nature Reserve No. 1 Declaration 1981 dated Seventeenth September Nineteen Hundred and Eighty one and the Clyde Valley Woodlands Nature Reserve No. 2 Declaration 1987 dated Twenty seventh October Nineteen Hundred and Eighty seven were superseded and withdrawn.
Certified Copies of the Declaration with plans annexed have been deposited for public inspection free of charge as undernoted and may be inspected for a period of one month following the First day of July Two Thousand and Nine.
